Comments in Go are non-executable lines of text that help explain the code, improve its readability, or temporarily disable portions of it for testing and debugging. Go offers two types of comments: single-line and multi-line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go Single-line Comments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Single-line comments begin with \/\/<\/code>. Any text following \/\/<\/code> on the same line is ignored by the compiler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go Multi-line Comments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Multi-line comments are enclosed within \/*<\/code> and *\/<\/code>. They are perfect for providing detailed descriptions spanning multiple lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting to Disable Code Execution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Comments can also be used to prevent certain lines from executing, which is useful for testing alternative logic or debugging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
