The git stash<\/code> command temporarily stores your modified files, allowing you to switch branches or work on something else without losing your changes. It is particularly useful when you need to quickly move to another task without committing your current changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

--no-include-untracked<\/code><\/td>Skips untracked files during stashing for push and save commands.<\/td><\/tr>
--only-untracked<\/code><\/td>Valid for the show<\/code> command. Displays only the untracked files in the stash entry as part of the diff.<\/td><\/tr>
--index<\/code><\/td>Valid for pop and apply commands. Tries to reinstate both working tree and index changes, but may fail with conflicts.<\/td><\/tr>
-k<\/code>, --keep-index<\/code><\/td>Valid for push and save commands. Keeps changes already added to the index intact.<\/td><\/tr>
--no-keep-index<\/code><\/td>Opposite of --keep-index<\/code>, not keeping changes in the index.<\/td><\/tr>
-p<\/code>, --patch<\/code><\/td>Valid for push and save commands. Interactively select hunks to be stashed, keeping the index state. Implies --keep-index<\/code>.<\/td><\/tr>
-S<\/code>, --staged<\/code><\/td>Valid for push and save commands. Stashes only staged changes, similar to committing to stash instead of branch.<\/td><\/tr>
--pathspec-from-file=<file><\/code><\/td>Valid for push command. Reads pathspec from <file><\/code> instead of command line arguments. If <file><\/code> is -<\/code>, reads from standard input.<\/td><\/tr>
--pathspec-file-nul<\/code><\/td>Valid for push command with --pathspec-from-file<\/code>. Pathspec elements are separated by NUL and taken literally.<\/td><\/tr>
